The collective known as Carnovsky have an exhibition in Berlin called RGB. The exhibition displays wallpaper with many images made in R…G…or…B. Colored filters allow you to see the images more specifically.

“Privately commissioned to create a gift for an architect, Daniel Weil created a one-of-a-kind clock that is both simple and complex. Reducing objects to their component parts has long fascinated Weil.” The idea of a one-of-a-kind commissioned object is very interesting to me. What if he didn’t like it?

Also at the UIC art museum was the exhibit entitled, Particulate Matter. “San Francisco-based artist Stephanie Syjuco‘s show at UIC’s Gallery 400 is an insightful exploration of the current dual zeitgeists in contemporary art: exploring digital art’s potential and pushing the limits of the artistic-production-as-factory trope. Syjuco models handmade objects based on sketches of strange architectural forms with seemingly no use value, designed by different Google SketchUp users.”
